Our Story

Kytra moved to Savannah, GA in 2014 after graduating from the University of South Carolina with an associates in business and bachelors in IT. Her two best friends, Rose DeLisse & Ashley Silver were attending schools in Savannah, GA, so it was the next move.
Kytra got a job at Zunzis 2, a South African restaurant in downtown Savannah.

Samuel Gonzalez JR moved to Savannah, in 2014. Sammy began working at Z2 (Zunzis 2) after moving to Savannah, Ga. They became best friends instantly.

Sammy would keep Kytra entertained all through their shifts with endless laughter and fun. On their days off you could find them biking through the Spanish mossed draped streets, eating some amazing food on a restaurant patio, enjoying the beach at Tybee, or simply relaxing at the park.

Sam and Kytra were out with some friends, May 25th 2015. Enjoying amazing food and meeting a celebrity. When Sam looked at kytra and asked her to be his girlfriend. They have been madly in love since.

In 2017, Kytra and Sam went on a cross country road trip. Driving over 15,000 miles, 35 states, in four months. Seeing America’s landmarks, exploring national parks, and meeting family and friends. Falling more in love through every laugh, mile, and turn.

After returning from their trip, they couldn’t get the west coast out of their minds and the opportunities available. In 2018 they packed up everything and moved to Camano Island, WA, 2,900 miles across the country.

Since moving out west, Kytra has managed multiple successful businesses, including Kytra’s Keepers.
Sammy has mastered his hospitality skills, and moved into creating and managing multiple businesses. He is mastering building websites for small businesses and entering the agricultural productions world.

Kytra and Sam started a business in 2021, together. The Hempire CBD, LLC is a high quality CBD company with all USDA certified organic ingredients. They are taking the skills they have mastered with crafting medicinal products for themselves and making it available and affordable for everyone.

Kytra and Sammy had set up with a local photographer to take product photos and head shots for the company website. Little did Kytra know that Sam had worked out with the photographer a surprise engagement. Leaving her shocked with excitement. They became engaged May 16th 2022!

Kytra and Sam are excited for the future they our building for themselves and their families. Knowing they get to grow, love and support one another through whatever life hands them, makes it all worth it.
